Outgoing Students

Changing lives. Opening minds.

“ On average, Erasmus students have better employability skills after a stay abroad than 70% of students"

-Erasmus Impact Study on the Skills and Employability of Students and the Internationalisation of Higher Education (European Commission Survey 2014)

What is Erasmus+?

Erasmus is the EU’s flagship programme for education and training, which has been running since 1987.  Erasmus + student mobility enables students to develop their skills and boost their employment prospects through an international study or traineeship period.

Erasmus - provides opportunities for students to learn abroad in the following ways:

  • Study Exchanges – where a student spends one or two semesters at a partner institution in another European country*.
  • Student Traineeships - where students spend a training period at an enterprise or organisation in one of the eligible European member states or participating countries.
  • Graduate Traineeships are a new feature of Erasmus +.  Students can apply for a graduate traineeship during their final year of study at CIT.

erasmus - support funding
