International (non-EU) Undergraduate Tuition Fee - €12,000 per annum

International (non-EU) Postgraduate Taught Tuition Fee - €12,000

International (non-EU) Postgraduate Research Tuition Fee - €12,000 per annum. Please contact the Graduate Studies Office for further information about making a Research/Phd application.


A non-refundable deposit of €1000 is required to ensure your place if you are accepted & full fees must be paid before a student can register at MTU. This deposit will be deducted from the tuition fees. Full fees must be paid for every year before you can be issued a registration letter and your fee status cannot be changed after you have registered.

MTU Scholarships

The Eolas Scholarship: 25% reduction on fees for all years of study. Applies to applications received between November 1 and March 31. Limited number offered on a first come basis.
The International Scholarship: 15% reduction on fees for all years of study. Applies to applications received between April 1 and May 31. Limited number offered on a first come basis.

The Victory Scholar Program is awarded to US Student-Athletes who play Golf or Basketball and gives them the opportunity to continue to play the sport they love, gain a Masters and contribute to communities throughout the Island of Ireland. Cost of living (Monthly)




* The travel cost is taking on the capped student LEAP fare which has remained at €30/week based on average month of 4.5 weeks

 ** Class materials and equipment cost can vary greatly, particularly for students in Arts, Sciences and Catering. For more detailed information you should contact your programme co-coordinator

If you are refused a student visa or if you do not meet the condition(s) of your offer, your deposit and tuition fees will be refunded in full. You will need to provide proof.

Please note we must notify the Department of Justice of any refunds made to students who have applied for Study Visas.




If you choose to withdraw by 31 October, MTU will retain €1500 of tuition fees paid.




You can defer only if you have paid your non-refundable deposit.

Students are liable for any changes in fees/scholarship changes.

You have one year to take up your deferral otherwise you will forfeit all fees paid.

You will not be allowed to defer your place if you have been refused a visa.
