Make an Application

 

Applications for September 2026 will open on 1 November 202

  • Closing date for MA Art Therapy applications 30th April 2026

If you are an International student i.e. resident in a non-EU country, you can submit an application to study directly to the MTU Cork Campus International Office.

 

How to make an application

 

  1. Check you meet the minimum entry requirements. These details specific to your country can be found in the Academic Entry Requirements section below.
  2. Check you meet English Language Requirements listed in the section below. You can still make an application without your English proficiency cert, but you would have to submit one if you are made an offer.
  3. Gather your documents 

Merge your application documents together into 1 PDF document. Please attach your documents in the following order:

  1. Photo page of passport
  2. CV/Resume. Include relevant technical certificates if mentioned, for example, C++, Java etc.
  3. Final Degree Certificate + Institute marking scheme.
  4. Full Academic Transcripts/Marksheets (consolidated not accepted) or School Leaving Examination Certificate/High School Certificate. Include official predicted grades if you have not finished high/secondary school.
  5. English language proficiency certificate (if applicable).
  6. Statement of purpose. C.500 words on why you wish to do the course and why you would be a suitable candidate.

NB**Please do not include work contracts or course syllabus in your application unless specifically requested*

To apply to MTU Cork Campus as an International applicant, please hit the Apply button below to complete the online application form. Once you have completed this form, you will receive an automated email to your inbox requesting you attach further documentation (this email will be sent to the email address you supplied when completing the Microsoft Form). Kindly attach your documents in one PDF and hit reply. It is very important that you reply directly to this email as it holds your unique application ID.

What happens once I've submitted an application

 

Our standard processing time is approximately three weeks, as timelines may vary depending on the academic calendar. We kindly ask that you do not contact us during the first three weeks.

 

You may be required to submit other documentation, for example, portfolio for art programmes.

Incomplete or broken applications will not be accepted and will delay your assessment.

You will be contacted by email with an offer or refusal.
